Circuit Training
Whatever name we use to describe tuition, the simple truth is that professional and amateur sports people alike find that personal tuition helps develop and improve their skills. Individuals can develop their skills just so far on their own, but it needs the impartial input from an experienced and qualified trainer to move beyond that level. We recently spoke at length to our customers who booked tuition with us in 2011 and received nothing but positive comments about it. They invariably found it gave them real help with future track days.
With this in mind we have restructured our pricing for circuit training. It remains subsidised and does not reflect the true cost of one of our A or S Grade ARDS instructors. We offer circuit driving tuition at £20 per 20 minute single session (that's 20 minutes on-circuit time). A double session is even better value at just £30, and can be divided into 2 separate sessions throughout the day. A double session allows you to put techniques learnt in the first session into practice, and then move on further during the second session. You can book on the day, or to be sure of a slot email or telephone to make a reservation.
Noise Limit
The noise limit is 100dBA static measured at 4500rpm/0.5m (3/4 maximum rpm for cars fitted with motorbike engines). The noise limit is strictly enforced. Entry fees will not be refunded if the car fails the noise test. Castle Combe also operates an equivalent drive by noise test.
Castle Combe Circuit
Castle Combe Circuit opened in the summer of 1950 just 18 months after Silverstone thus making it one of the longest established circuits in the country. Until 1999, the circuit followed its original layout, around the perimeter of the old air base. The crowds have been thrilled by famous racing drivers including Stirling Moss, Mike Hawthorn, Colin Chapman, Les Leston and John Surtees. In its current layout of 1.85 miles the circuit is today recognised as one of the fastest in the country providing probably the closest circuit racing in British motor sport. Castle Combe is located about 5 miles west of Chippenham in Wiltshire, and is another favourite of ours.
